TEAM PRO7 under the leadership of PBGEN RONNIE S MONTEJO, RD, PRO7 went to Brgy. Cotcot Multi-Purpose Gymn, Liloan, Cebu on April 22, 2021 at around 8:00 AM and conducted the PNPs notable program in addressing COVID-19 pandemic dubbed as PNP C.A.R.E (Coronavirus, Awareness, Response and Empowerment) Infodemic Drive.
Personnel from the Regional Community Affairs Development Division led by PLTCOL REGIE REAL and Cebu Police Provincial Office and Liloan Municipal Police Station, discussed salient points about COVID-19 pandemic and our response, to 170 participants.
After the infodemic, all participants were given hygiene kits, sacks of rice and canned goods.
This is in line with the priority program of the PNP to maximize information dissemination on COVID-19 to every barangays.
PBGEN RONNIE S MONTEJO, in his message, said that this is PRO7’s response to curb the spread of the corona virus and prevent further damage that it may cause the people when not addressed properly and when they are not properly informed.
“Daku ang atong papel isip lumulupyo sa aktibo nga pagpakabana sa atong katilingban kabahin sa makatakod ug makamatay nga virus. Ang PNP C.A.R.E (Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment) makahatag ug kapabilidad sa mga katawhan, opisyalis sa barangay ug mga trabahante sa kahimsug nga mohimo ug lakang nga mahatagan ug sakto nga impormasyon ang mga lumulupyo aron malikayan ang pagkuyanap sa COVID-19,” he added.
Also, in attendance were Mrs. Melanie Montejo, Maam Gloria Sanchez, Liloan ABC President; Councilor Vidal Cañete, Brgy. Captain Lorena Yongco of Brgy. Cotcot; PCOL ENGELBERT SORIANO, OIC, CPPO; PLTCOL CONRADO MANATAD, CPPO; PCPT MARVIN INOCENCIO, Chief of Police, Liloan Municipal Police Station; Mr. Carlos Montejo and relatives and other PRO7 officers and local officials of the municipality of Liloan.
