TURN-OVER OF SERVICE FIREARMS IN SIQUIJOR

PBGEN ALBERT IGNATIUS FERRO, PRO7 Regional Director leads the ceremonial turn-over of basic assault rifles, ammunition, ballistics eyewear and undershirt vest to Siquijor Police Provincial Office in Brgy. Caipilan, Siquijor, Siquijor during his command visit, Wednesday morning, October 21, 2020.
 
Among the logistical equipment and supplies turned-over were 50 units Basic Assault Rifle Galil ACE22N with accessories, 10,500 rounds of ammunition, 350 magazine assembly, 40 units ballistics eyewear and 12 pieces undershirt vests.
 
In his message, he said the acquisition of the firearms enhances the fire power capability of Siquijor PPO against insurgents and its ability to protect the people of Siquijor against criminals.
 
“The issuance of firearms is the PNP’s commitment to provide adequate fire power to the police units in the country to maintain peace and order in the communities. Even in the time of pandemic, the PNP has provided adequately for our logistical and supply needs despite the scarcity of budget realigned for the COVID-19 efforts,” added PBGEN FERRO.
 
He also expressed his gratitude to the provincial government of Siquijor for extending support to the police force especially in these difficult times.
